Yuzu is one of the citrus fruits favored for its fragrant juice (and not for actual eating of the fruits themselves). Among all the citrus trees in Japan, yuzu is one of the species that can tolerate low temperatures. Nevertheless, one of its major production area is the Kochi prefecture which located south of Japan.

This is by far the most favoured in Japan -- mikan in Japanese, for eating the fruits in winter while staying in kotatsu (a low-profile table with heating apparatus).
This is one of the special "gift" fruits in Kochi prefecture called Buntan. It is favored for its remarkable size and the thick white cushion that surrounds the juicy pieces of fruits. Buntan is one of the largest citrus fruits in Japan.
Sudachi is considered to be a delicacy for its delicate flavored juice.
