| The Black Phoebe is a black-and-white passerine bird (Family
Tyrannidae, Order: Passeriformes) with a long black tail feathers.
The back of the phoebe is shiny black and its belly is white. The
eyes, legs and feet of the phoebe are black.

| At times, the phoebe buffs its crest and the triangular shape of
the phoebe's head is a good guide in identifying the species. Many of
the Tyrannidae species have erectile crests.

The Tyrannidae species are found in Western hemisphere and are the largest of all
bird families.
