The Java applet below shows the classification of flowering plants by the Cronquist system. Press any of "Classes", "Subclasses", "Orders", and "Families" buttons to get the listing of each. To search through the listing, enter the word in the box on the right and press "Search".
The Japanese standard names of plants ("wamei") are represented in katakana script. This applet will search through the list both in hiragana or katakana scripts. The "Katakana" button next to the search box will convert the word into katakana characters for "wamei" search through the listing.
