Ring-Billed Gull, Larus delawarensis

Ring-Billed Gull   The Ring-Billed Gull is a medium sized gull (Family: Laridae, Order: Charandriiformes) found near water, quite often in large flocks. The gulls are found near human residence and are known for its adaptations to man-induced habitat changes. The name Ring-Billed Gull comes from the black band on its bill. It has a white body and gray wings.
Ring-Billed Gull   The gulls have well-developed wings and they are good fliers. The black portions of the wings form a black "tail" when folded (the tail feathers are white).
Ring-Billed Gull   The eye rims of the adult gulls are orange-red and the juvenile and the first-year gulls have black eyes and eye rims.
