Brewer's Blackbird, Euphagus cyanocephalus

Brewer's Blackbird   The Brewer's Blackbird is a robin-sized passerine bird found near human residence (Family: Icteridae, Order: Passeriformes). The male form of the blackbird has an iridescent black body, an iridescent purple head, a short and pointed black bill, black legs and feet, and yellow eyes. The characteristic calls of the blackbird are heard throughout the region.
Brewer's Blackbird   The blackbird can often be found near water in large numbers. They are often found drinking water with other waterfowls. The photo shows the individual feeding on the ground.
