We reached the Ocean after a several hours of drive through forests of tall coniferous trees. The sound of river running along and on the wet ground, the mosses covers the tree trunks so everything looked green. The rays fall through the tree tops and the spots that the sunshine falls upon created patterns of green of the leaves and the mosses and ferns, dark brown ground covered with chestnut colored leaves and needles, and lichens on the ground. The air in the forest was refreshing. The photo shows the licorice fern (Polypodium glycyrrhiza) that grows on tree trunks.
Under the sunshine and the seagulls are bathing in the water. The splash of water and the reflection of light scattered in the air. The contrast of colors of the feathers of seagulls and they occasionally spread their wings. The herring gull (Larus argentatus, Laridae) is grey above and white underneath, the tip of the flight wing is black with white spots, the beak is yellow and has red subterminal spots, and the legs and feet are pink.
The Pacific Ocean was there where the cliffs fall into the dynamic and fearless waves of the sea. It was such a sight and there are the mansions that look upon the Ocean. California it was.
