The weather forcast was 50% of rain. When we woke up, we saw the huge clouds hanging above. For a few moments, the Sun showed up for a brief period of time and we decided to go out. Everything was wet, the turf, trees, and the car. We started the car and went first to the gas station. The Brewer's blackbirds were hopping on the ground. A few people were walking outside.
We took the bypass to go north of the Clear Lake. The road seems to have newly built and there is a county park on the way. We had lunch there and enjoy the natural surroundings. We heard gun shots. The lichens were on the ground, wet and silvery green Evernia prunastri and Usnea, Permelia. When we left the place, we saw the rainbow over the road. It was a beautiful Sunday.
We knew from the last visit that we can enjoy a good scenic view from the road that surround the lake. The road directly connects to the resort place. A winery is there, the piers, and mansions. The lake was shining under the bright sunshine. In the water, American white pelicans (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos, Pelecanidae) and American Coots (Fulica americana, Rallidae) were busy swimming with their feet moving under the water surface. It was rather cold out and the people who are taking their dogs out were wearing heavy jackets.
