The Purple Finch is a small passerine bird (Family:
Fringillidae, Order: Passeriformes) with a thick bill. The crown, the
throat, and the belly of the finch is raspberry-red.
The wings of the finch are brown and dark-brown lined and
the legs and feet are brown.
This individual came to drink the water from the fountain.
The Purple Finch is the state bird of New Hampshire.
