The Western Scrub Jay (Family: Corvidae, Order:
Passeriformes) is a blue bird that has a crow-like bill. The jay is
smaller than a crow and has a white belly, gray-black cheek, black
legs and feet, and a white supercilium.
The photo shows the jay's white throat that runs all the way to its belly.
The Western Scrub Jay was formally classfied as the
subspecies of the scrub jay that include both Western and Florida
Scrub Jays (Aphelocoma coerulescens).
